I was honored to be a guest on The Thinking Practitioner Podcast with Whitney Lowe. Whitney and I met many years ago when we were both presenting at a conference in Winnipeg, Canada, and I've followed his work since then. Our talk centered around one of my favorite topics; introducing shared decision-making (SDM) in manual therapy and massage settings. Though far from the norm, SDM offers the patient/client greater agency and requires the clinician to temper their beliefs in favor of patient values and preferences.
