Foundations in Myofascial Release

This 20 hour, 3 day seminar will provide the therapy professional the ability to effectively
evaluate and treat a wide variety of conditions from a foundational base of knowledge in
Myofascial Release, including MyoMobilization™. You will begin to look beyond the
muscle, into the larger three-dimensional matrix of the fascia, changing your view of how
holding patterns within the fascia can produce far reaching dysfunction. Traditional
scientific rationals of Myofascial Release will be addressed, along with emerging
theories.  The essence of this work is about learning to deeply feel into your client’s body
and sensing what is holding them back. I will help you to be able to acquire this feel and
use it to make changes that you had not thought possible. You will leave this class
equipped to make immediate changes. You will also understand ways to incorporate
Myofascial Release into your current therapy regime and/or transition to a cash-based
MFR practice.  This Foundations Seminar is appropriate for all providers. All that is
required is a license to touch.

Foundations in Myofascial Release II: Head, Neck, and Upper Trunk

Dates to be announced.

Seminar Objective: To provide the therapist the ability to effectively evaluate and treat a
wide variety of conditions from a foundational base of knowledge in Myofascial Release,
including MyoMobilization™. The therapist will be shown how to look beyond the
muscle, into the larger three-dimensional matrix of the fascia, revealing how holding
patterns within the fascia can produce far-reaching dysfunction. The participant will learn
to feel and treat deeply into the client’s body and sense the restriction, which is the essence
of this work. There will extensive hands-on demonstrations followed by sufficient one-on-
one supervised practice.

This 20 hour, three-day Myofascial Release seminar will cover a wide range of areas,
including:

Cervical Spine - anterior and posterior treatment to improve pain and function.
Throat/Swallowing/Tongue issues -  including new and effective means of improving
speech, and swallowing.
TemporalMandibular Joint and Related - for balancing the oral mechanism, improve
chewing and lessen pain.
Eye Treatment - New and effective techniques for improving eye tracking and eye pain
Upper Extremity, Upper Trunk, and Shoulder treatment - with new techniques for the
resolution of pain and improvement of motion and function.

The basic science of Myofascial Release will be addressed in all seminars, both from a
traditional mechanical perspective as well as from newer research.  Those who have
taken Myofascial Release classes in the past will benefit both from the deepening of the
principles, as well as exposure to fresh ideas as to its applications. Whole body
considerations will be presented. This is an intensive hands-on seminar, with a thorough
grounding in the establishment of the feel of myofascial release at its core. Immediate
application of the techniques as they apply to the clinic will be provided.
